First -Do you have an AWS Connect Call Center?
The Dextr Dashboard is an advanced omni-channel feature “wrapper” for an Amazon Connect Call Centers. This means to make use of Dextr, you must have an AWS (Amazon Web Service) account, management console access and permissions and clearly, you must have an Operating Amazon Connect Call Center in service.
What happens if we do not have an Amazon Connect Call Center?
We will be very happy to build you a call center! We offer every deployment service from design, implementation, deployment and ongoing technical support. A call center is a living breathing every changing application and you will most certainly need a resource to provide care and feeding for this essential business application. We can start you out with a simple “proof of concept” that you can play with, take inbound phone calls and route calls to agents anywhere on the globe.
Why do I need a Dextr dashboard?
The basic Amazon Connect call center will do very simple inbound voice call routing. Call Centers in general have a range of requirements from holiday schedules to real time metric based wall boards and the low end and omni-channel (sms, chat, email) at the hight end. Amazon Connect does not provide these features out of the gate, you would need to design, develop, deploy, test and revise on an ongoing basis. A Dextr subscription would provide these features at a fraction of the cost you would incur if you had to hire a professional service team to implement them for you.
What happens if we already have an Amazon Connect Call Center?
Then all you have to do is call us and we will “onboard” Dextr for you and help you modify your contact flows to enable all Dextr features! If you have technical resources and your Amazon Connect administrator is comfortable with some minor configuration you can on board Dextr yourself. Just provide a legit business domain email in the Free Trial form and we will send you a token that you will need to complete the onboarding process. The entire process will take less than 10 minutes as there is nothing to install!
How much does all this cost?
Amazon charges you a flat .018 a minute to use the Call Center and Dextr charges .007 a minute, so for less than .025 per minute you will have a state of the art call center! To be fair you will have additional charges for your carrier costs, that would be dial tone and phone calls. Understand however, that cost is the same for all call centers regardless of what one you might choose to run your business on. The fact is that even Amazon’s carrier cost are the lowest in the industry as they own their own phone companies in key areas.
